Great Reasons To Attend Our Rehearsals
1)
We rehearse new pieces almost every week giving you
exposure to a wide selection of the repertoire (see our
recent
repertoire list).
2) We play at a very high level. The orchestra is for
skilled
players only. Our members
include advanced amateurs, professionals, and
conservatory students. Our members include many principal
players from local orchestras.
3) The environment is very friendly and relaxed. New
players are welcomed and spoken to. At break we have
wine and cheese. We mingle, talk, and make connections with
other musicians.
4) There's no pressure of preparing for a concert,
or the monotony of rehearsing the same pieces for
weeks on end.
5) While regular attendance is expected (minimum
of two rehearsal attended each month), there's
enough flexibility to allow for your other obligations.
6) We're local and easy to get to. We're
